ABOUT WILL

I’m Will Bensheimer, a high school student from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. I’ve always enjoyed having a lot going on, and most of my life seems to revolve around some combination of soccer, aviation, art, music, school, church, and time with family and friends.

Soccer has probably shaped me more than any other sport. I love playing in the center of the field where I can see the game developing, connect with teammates, create opportunities, defend, and communicate. Competing has taught me a lot about leadership, discipline, and being part of something bigger than myself.

Outside of soccer, I have a pretty wide range of interests. I’m a student pilot and completed my first solo flight at seventeen. I’ve been drawing for years and enjoy both traditional and digital art, photography, and graphic design. Music is also a big part of my life—I play drums, cajón, and guitar and enjoy helping lead worship and working with audio and video.

My faith in Jesus is at the center of who I am and how I want to live. I’ve had opportunities to serve through my church and on mission trips in the United States, Alaska, and the Dominican Republic, and those experiences have helped shape the way I think about leadership and serving other people.

As I look toward college, I’m excited about the opportunity to continue competing at a high level, grow academically, build strong relationships, and keep developing the interests and abilities God has given me.
