Flying has become one of the things I enjoy most and one of the biggest challenges I have taken on during high school. I began formal flight training after receiving an aviation scholarship and completed my first solo flight at seventeen. I am currently continuing my training toward my Private Pilot Certificate.
What I enjoy most about aviation is that there is always something more to learn. Flying requires preparation, an understanding of weather and navigation, knowledge of aircraft systems, and the ability to make good decisions when conditions change. I enjoy both the technical side of aviation and the responsibility that comes with actually putting that knowledge into practice in the airplane.
Aviation has also taught me to be patient with the learning process. Every flight is different, and becoming a better pilot means being willing to prepare carefully, recognize mistakes, learn from them, and keep building experience. I hope to continue flying through college and am interested in exploring ways aviation may become part of my future career.
